Q. What is the difference between a National event and a Local event?

A. A national event typically draws people from all over the country and sometimes other countries and are large. They are multi-day events, usually have an event fee and have a block of rooms in a hotel. National events are a great way to meet people from all over and put a face to the people that you have been talking to online.

Local events are usually one day events for people in the area but all all welcome. Local events typically have a smaller attendance but some local events draw over 100 people to their events. Local events are a great way to meet people in your area.

Q. There is not a H group in my area, can I start one?

A. You sure can! Just because there isn't a group does not mean people in your area do not have Herpes or HPV. You can add a group to the HWerks.com's group area or open a website for your group. A lot of groups also use Yahoo groups.

Q. I hear that events are drunken orgies and it is just a place for people to hook up.

A. Hahaha! Now, that could not be farther from the truth! People go to events to meet up with friends, meet new people and be surrounded with people in the same situation as yourself, inappropriate behavior is not tolerated. Sure, there is drinking but we are all adults but all are still expected to act accordingly.

Q. How do I get my website or event listed on NationalHClub.com?

A. Just go to the top menu or side menu and click "Submit Event." Please list your website, the who, what and where. If you use your e-mail address for personal e-mails we recommend that you create a new one just for H related stuff as this site is on Google for all to find.

We also ask that you include a link on your site for HWerks.com. It is only fair as HWerks pays for Nationalhclub, maintains and updates it regularly. Your group will also be listed on HWerks.com's front page when it is up. If you really want to help out, we can e-mail you the code for a HWerks banner to add to your site.

Q. How long does it take to get my event or group listed on NationalHClub.com?

A. Usually within 24 hours.

Q. Do you have to be a member of HWerks.com to attend these events?

A. Absolutely not. These events are listed for everybody that want to attend who also have Herpes or HPV. It is just a courtesy site that HWerks.com provides to help out the H Community.

Q. Are children allowed at events?

A. That is up to the event coordinators. Usually if an event allows children, it is posted on their website.

Q. Why list your Local Event?

A. Listing your local event gives visitors an idea of the different events that are being held throughout our community. We get a LOT of traffic here from people looking for an event to attend. Now, your event will not be removed after it is over. It will be moved to the "Past Events" page so users can search through the past events. It will give them an idea of what to expect and if there have been events in their area.  They can then follow the link to your group's page.
